Preston & District Referees Society

History

Formed in 1919, The Preston & District Referees Society’s main objective is the recruitment, training and welfare of referees in the Preston area. The Society works closely with the local leagues, the Lancashire Football Association and the Lancashire Referees Association.

Meetings

The Society meets on a formal basis on the first Tuesday of each month unless Preston North End FC are playing at home, in which case the Society meets on the following Tuesday.

All meetings commence at 7.30pm.

Instruction & Training Classes

Instruction classes are held at St Gregory’s Club on the other Tuesday’s in the month. The Society offers a comprehensive programme of training on all aspects of the Laws of the Game, which is tailored to meet the needs of both new and experienced officials.
